Busy busy busy!
February 21, 2008
Wow have I been busy lately! I am trying to get all new analytics code put on a dozen sites all at the same time, and trying to build 5 different websites when I get home. I get away from the computer for 5 minutes! I need a vacation.

February 18, 2008
Ok I like Mike Huckabee. He seems like a pretty good guy. He wants to get rid of income tax, and he plays bass in a band. Those are two thumbs up in my book. I don’t see McCain playing any instruments. But there are some things about Huckabee I don’t like. But you need to realize that there will never be a candidate that has everything that you are looking for. But when I did a search on Google with the term Best President, there was an ad for Mike huckabee. I’ll tell ya, thats pretty badass there Mike. I like this guy more and more each day.

Lindsay Lohan New York Magazine nude pics
February 18, 2008
Lindsay Lohan is attempting to replicate a photo shoot done by one of her “idols,” Marilyn Monroe, in New York Magazine. Their site has been down for a while now, probably everyone trying to find nude pics of Lindsay Lohan, but fear not. I was able to get my hands on the NSFW photos. Enjoy.

I knew the Patriots would lose!

No Comments »HBX to SiteCatalyst Transition
January 18, 2008
So now its official. Visual Sciences is now gone, and they are now Omniture. Many Visual Sciences customers are now struck with what to do. Should they stick with the HBX product they have been using for some time now, or make that leap and jump in with SiteCatalyst. For us it was not a difficult decision. As a matter of fact, we have been looking into Omniture for a few months now, long before Omniture agreed to acquire Visual Sciences. So for me it was an easy decision.
So we signed up earlier this week, and have some implementation training scheduled for next week. They claim to have everything figured out to import all of our historical data, so we will see how that goes. We have been HBX customers since mid 2005 so there is tons of data I don’t want to lose.
One thing that concerns me with the transition is that I want to switch from using a third party cookie with HBX to start using a first party cookie with SiteCatalyst. Now if we had a single site, not a problem. But I have over 70 different site’s that I am going to be implementing code on. Which is that many different subdomains that need to be mapped and that much more work that needs to be done (well requested to be done from my systems folks). We will see how it goes.
Now should I keep using my Visual Sciences zipper portfolio that they sent me for Christmas? I think I will until Omniture sends me a new one.

January 18, 2008
I received an email from a family member of mine asking if I were going to participate in Earth Hour this year. I had no idea what it is so I did a little research.
On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney Austrailia businesses turned off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour. This massive collective effort reduced Sydney’s energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour, which is the equivalent effect of taking 48,000 cars off the road for one hour.
This is to help raise awareness about the need for action on global warming.
This year they are trying to make it a global event by having everyone turn off their lights for one hour at 8pm on 29 March 2008. If you are interested in participating, or are just looking for more information, check them out at www.earthhour.org.

January 16, 2008
Ok this is a bit off topic, but I am a huge Green Bay Packers fan and I had to make this for a friend of mine.

Tom Brady and the entire Patriots team have been incredibly lucky this year. They are so overrated and will not win the Superbowl this year. I guarantee it.
Macbook Air announced at Macworld
January 15, 2008
Today at Macworld, Steve Jobs announced in his keynote speach a new Macbook. The Macbook Air, which he claims is the “The World’s Thinnest Notebook”. The MacBook Air is 0.16″ to 0.76″. The thickest part of the MacBook Air is thinner than the thinnest part of the Sony TZ series. It fits inside a envelope. Some of the features are a Magnetic latch, 13.3″ widescreen LED backlit display, iSight is built-in, MacBook-like keyboard, but with an ambient light sensor. It also includes a 1.8″ Hard Drive, 80 GB hard disk standard, 64 GB SSD as an option. Jobs says “they’re pricy, but they’re fast”. I’ll bet.
It is powered by an 1.6 GHz Standard, 1.8 GHz Option — Intel Core 2 Duo processor which Apple had Intel shrink the processor by 60%, so that it is now as thick as a nickle and as wide as a dime. Other features include 45 Watt MagSafe, 1 USB 2.0 port, Micro-DVI, Audio Out, 802.11n + Bluetooth 2.1/EDR, 5 hours of Battery Life and 2 GB Memory standard. No optical drive, but a Superdrive accessory is available for $99. Also, software comes with the MacBook Air that allows you to “borrow” a Mac or PCs optical drive. Pre-orders today, shipping in two weeks for the low price of $1799. Anyone want to pick me up one?
Other neat environmental highlights include a fully aluminum case (good for recycling), first fully mercury and lead free display, circuit boards are BFR free, retail packaging are 56% less volume than MacBook.

January 9, 2008
There is a great post up over at SEOmoz about Network Solutions getting shady with grabbing domain names, loading them with PPC ads, then getting a refund if you didn’t come back and buy the domain name from them within 5 days. Not sure if it is true, not think it is illegal, but it just feels wrong for us guys just checking if a domain name is available and what to start something up. I use Godaddy, and think I will stick with them.
